"short hop" is about feeling crap when everything around you is going great. It's about failing to explain why you feel that way and how that just pushes you into an even worse mindset.

I've had anxious periods of my life where my only solution has been to power on, but that's rarely ever been an effective solution. It's only when I've sat down and given full attention to how I'm feeling that I can finally put things into perspective.

I wrote "short hop" when things weren't getting better. And it gave me the clarity I needed to find myself again. I hope it's a useful parallel for anyone who might be feeling the same way, and a reminder that things will get better- it just takes time. :))
